Protecting and enhancing the Quality of Life for Sandoval County Residents

• Improving police and fire protection county wide 
• Improving and expanding family activity facilities county wide
• Encouraging businesses that locate in Sandoval County to respect and improve the quality of life for the community  and to pay a living wage to their employees
• Plan for future and rehabilitate current infrastructure (Sidewalks, Parks, pools, safe streets, and public transportation)

Creating a cooperative local government environment to ensure that Rio Rancho Residents get the best value for their tax dollars

• Work with educational, city, county, state, federal and multi-governmental organizations to bring the best services and facilities to Rio Rancho
• Foster joint sponsorship to improve infrastructure projects
• Draw upon rich New Mexico traditions to foster a cultural bridge from Sandoval County’s past to enhance the “Vision for the Future”

• Encourage working relationships with Albuquerque, Bernalillo County and All Native American Tribal Governments.

Giving residents better access to local government by seeking their input before major decisions are made

• Create transparency in all action taken by the county
• Use technology to better inform city residents on issues that will impact them
• Use technology to seek input from citizens during public hearings
